NEW COVID-19

During these unprecedented times, our thoughts and prayers are with those individuals directly or indirectly affected by this pandemic.  It is most important to minimize the potential health threats some will face, as well as the economic uncertainty this crisis has caused.

Animal Genetics has continued normal work flow with 95% of results available in 2-3 business days.  We will remain open in order to process samples as long as it is safe to do so.  As a veterinary diagnostic facility, we are an essential business and intend to remain open.  Long term school closures may force some of our employees to reduce their availability in order to care for their families.  However, we remain committed to providing the best service possible during these trying times.  Animal Genetics has implemented testing for COVID-19 and all employees are regularly screened for the virus.  Screening for the virus will continue on a weekly basis or as necessary.

Animal Genetics does not feel at this point that it is necessary to test pets or other domestic animals for COVID-19, but will monitor this situation closely.  If these guidelines change, we will let everyone know.

NEW ISAG Proficiency Test Results

Over 100 laboratories around the world participated in the 2019-2020 International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG) biannual DNA comparison testing.  Animal Genetics scored a 100% on both the canine and equine ISAG DNA profiles. We will post an official copy of the results as soon as it becomes available.

NEW New Building

Construction was completed earlier this year on our new 10,000 square foot lab space.  This additional space will allow us to further expand and improve our services.
